Welcome to RD Homeschool, where every learner matters. We are a small, focused online homeschool committed to delivering high-quality education in a nurturing and flexible environment.

Our mission is to help each student thrive through expert teaching, individual attention, and a curriculum that guides them confidently towards their GCSEs.

 At RD Homeschool, we believe that education should be personal. That’s why our class sizes are intentionally small, with no more than five students per class. This allows our teachers to provide focused, tailored support and ensures that each child has the opportunity to engage fully, ask questions, and receive the attention they need to succeed.

Our robust curriculum is designed to seamlessly replace traditional school-based learning, providing a diverse array of subjects and extended learning opportunities.

Curriculum

We follow the UK National Curriculum and offer structured, high-impact lessons, particularly in the core subjects of English, Maths, and Science.

Curriculum

Alongside our core foundation, students choose three subjects for independent, self-directed study, whether History, Art, Computing, or others. This blend of structure and freedom fosters confidence, independence, and a love of learning, while keeping their education consistent and on track.

Meet The Directors

Guiding Vision, Driving Excellence

George Ross

BSc Hons, NPQSL

I am an experienced mathematics educator with a dedication to the craft for over 25 years. My
enthusiasm for imparting knowledge to young learners is unwavering.
Specialising in the adaptation of mathematical concepts to suit the individual requirements of my
students, I integrate principles of psychology to ensure cognitive ease and foster an enjoyable
learning experience. Through unique sequencing methodologies, my students not only absorb but
retain mathematical principles more effectively, enabling them to apply their knowledge across
various curricula and problem-solving scenarios, thereby enhancing their mathematical prowess.
Beyond the classroom, I find solace in playing the piano, often contributing to church services.
Additionally, I indulge my passion for amateur photography, with a particular focus on capturing
subjects in their natural habitat. Finally, I love the great outdoors. I often use my spare time hiking
or leading Duke of Edinburgh groups through the countryside.
I invite you to join me on a journey of mathematical discovery, where learning is not only enriching
but also enjoyable.

Sandra Dean

I am a passionate teacher of Science with 23 years of classroom teaching under my belt.  I believe
that science truly changes the world and creates inquisitive thinkers with a thirst for learning about
the world around them.  I have significant senior leadership experience and am qualified to
headship level.
 I believe that we are in a rapidly changing educational environment. I offer an ambitious
curriculum with emphasis on how to think, not what to think; creating a culture of learning that
students will carry into later life. In order to do this, I create socially, personally, and emotionally

intelligent learners that know what knowledge they need, know how to acquire it, and use it in
various contexts. Every single student should be able to experience success within an educational
environment. These successes will always be different but if a young person feels that they are
moving forward and improving then this holds an immense potential for the future. 
Outside of my educational work I really enjoy travelling to new destinations and getting out and
about experiencing new cultures.  I am obsessed with my Siamese cat who is never far away.
